Dale Earnhardt Sr.
Dale Earnhardt Sr. lost his life at Daytona 500 in 2001. He is truly a NASCAR legend. He won a total of 7 championships during his career and also start Dale Earnhardt Incorperated, which is now ran by his wife Teresa Earnhardt. He raced from 1975 until his fatal crash in 2001. I have quite a few memories of Dale Earnhardt.
I remember one race I was watching (I forgot which one…way too long ago) and he crashed and his car rolled and rolled and rolled…anyways I think you get the picture. After the car came to a stop on its top, he got out, asked if some of the people in the pits could help him flip it back over. He managed to get the car flipped back over, hopped in and continued the race. Obviously he got fined since he did not report to the in-field medical facility before returning to the race. It just showed me how much he was determined to finish the race. To bad we all aren’t that determined to finish things in our own lives!
Dale Earnhardt Sr. was my favorite driver of all time! There is no telling what great things he would have accomplished if that crash at Daytona wouldn’t have been fatal!!
Feel free to add a comment about anything you would like me to further discuss or any questions you have and I will try my best to answer them! Thanks, and can’t wait until this coming Sunday!
